VACATION HOME

NEAR BAXTER STATE PARK
VERY REASONABLE

Hidden Springs Campground has seasonal R.V. sites for rent in the shadow of Mount Katahdin. Modern facilities, free hot showers, 15 minutes from
I-95 exit 56, and 15 minutes from the south entrance of BAXTER STATE PARK.

Located just outside the town of Millinocket, so all amenities are available: restaurants, laundries, fuel, hospital, churches, golf course, and grocery stores. We have large wooded sites with power, water and dump station on site.

$ 850.00 plus 7% sales tax - seasonal rate from June 1st thru Oct.1st.

This great deal is less than taxes and upkeep on most vacation homes, and is located in one of Maine's premium vacation areas. Haul that camper out of the back yard and start exploring Maine.

Buy a used one or borrow your brother-in-law's, but come to one of the last and largest wilderness areas in the Eastern United States. Re-establish your connection with nature. If you are in search of peace, perspective and relief from a dangerous world, you have found it at Hidden Springs Campground.

The Millinocket area is the gateway to Mount Katahdin, the North Maine woods, the East branch of the Penobscot river and to several lakes, (too numerous to list), where you can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing and whitewater rafting. Our private campground provides private and secluded refuge from all of the bustle.

Baxter State Park is a 200,000-acre forest preserve and is crowned by Mt Katahdin, Maine's highest peak. It takes approximately two hours to drive around. It offers hiking trails, wildlife (bears, moose, deer and eagles), and is one of the most popular areas in Maine.

The Penobscot River offers some of the best fishing and is known for smallmouth bass and salmon.

The area also offers a Lumbermen museum, dating back to the 1820s. A 3-mile spectacular gorge. Gulf Hagas is nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of the East". That area has 8 miles of rugged hiking trails that meet up with the Appalachian Trail.

Dozens of large clear lakes and hundreds of small ponds surround Hidden Springs Camground. We have intimate, local knowledge of most of them. Let us point out the secluded beaches and the quiet feeding places of moose.

Take a walk around Hidden Springs Campground, most of our 156 acres is undeveloped.
